Film Production - Rent a Classic 1930's Tiger Moth biplane in Cape Town, South Africa. The Tiger Moth, with its attractive moth-shaped tail surfaces is an attractive aircraft. It is a tandem two-seater tail-dragger open cockpit Biplane, and is powered by a four cylinder vertical upside-down Gypsy Major engine developing 130 hp. The fuselage consists of square steel tubular frames and plywood, covered with Ceconite (the modern version of Irish Linen cloth treated with dope). The wings have spruce spars, spruce ribs and are also covered with Ceconite.
